My friend went to another country. Before she went with her family, they went to the doctor to see if she needed any shots to keep her from getting sick. The doctor said that she didn't need any.
When she came back though, she came back with typhoid. She has been in bed and unable to go to school for over two months. She's been in and out of the hospital.
I was wondering if it was possible to sue the doctor that told her that she didn't need any shots to keep her from getting sick.
Would it count as negligence? or anything else?
This is in Canada. I dunno if the laws are different in the U.S. or not.
Please help me!
Thanks in advance! <3

Unlikely.
The typhoid vaccination only has an efficacy of 50 to 75%. So she could have gotten typhoid anyway, even with the vaccine.
