Question for a lawyer?

I just got done with my medical malpractice lawsuit, and am going tommorow to get the check from my lawyer. Problem is, i dont have a bank account. The check will be from my lawyer (im assuming from his firm not just him), since they said the insurance company sends it to him, and he cuts me the check for my amount minus his fees. They must do a lot of banking, so is it likely the check will be drawn from a local bank? Can i cash it from there for a large amount, or do i have to give them some form of notice? I am going to open up a bank account with this money, but would prefer to not open it with the check itself...im going to find out tommorow when i go pick the check up, so im not going to bother them with this question, i was just wondering...thanks!
Ok, no i am not trying to get out of paying taxes...stupid....also i dont have a bank account because i dont..what is that any of your business? I have never declared bankruptcy, and i could give a SHI.T if you are happy with me getting a large check...i am happy that the doctor who botched my surgery by suturing through a section of my colon and causing me to be hospitalized for nearly 4 months and having lifelong complications from the infection that was so severe since they left me bleeding and shitting internally for nearly a week before taking me in for surgery, and having such a systemic infection that it has damaged my heart and i haad a defibrillator implanted at 18 and take 7 medicines, is going to have to pay me some money, if you dont like that, i can tell you where to shove your ideas...thanks!
