I would like to talk a bit about sleep deprived physicians in my paper. Any comments are welcome, but if anyone knows of any cases i could cite as malpractice due to sleep deprivation that would be great.

any overworked human being i.e. lacks sleep, is bound to encounter some sort of mistake is his workplace. it also goes with physicians. that is why there is the term physiologic duty, meaning the physician on duty or on call is put to work in a time frame that is within the bounds of human body system to work with least possible errors due to lack of rest or sleep. It's a double edged sword. People who aren't in the medical field will not really grasp it unless they are put into the situation. I suggest you try to go and observe in a hospital how they work even just for one night shift and see how it is. It will give you a better insight too.
