While at the same, troops in Iraq are STILL being neglected by driving around in Humvees without proper armor. Troops are still having to buy their own body armor because in many cases, the Army is still handing out outdated armor that is too heavy for use in combat zones. Having served in the army myself, i am curious as to how it is OK to neglect troops over seas while they are getting shot at, but its not OK to neglect them here? Why is it OK to neglect them anywhere?

It's not acceptable. Bush is going to say what he thinks people want to hear. His actions (now and in the past) certainly don't reflect his promises to keep our soldiers safe. With all of the evidence that has been coming out, how can anyone believe him? I'll believe him when he sends his daughters, nephew and nieces to Iraq. He should be ashamed.

That's so Army! Everyone wants to place blame on the top dog when its the responsibility of the officers promoted to their positions to make sure their outfit is squared away.

It is not o.k. Not only that, it sends a message to the other countries that we are vunerable. I'm sure Bush can't be briefed of everything that goes on, but when it is revealed, he has the power to make changes. Bush is not the only one in the wrong. Those poor Vietnam Vets still haven't got their just reward. My Grandfather was treated like a nuisance whenever he use to go to a Veterans hospital or facility. How ironic that we expect young men to help another country fight for justice when there is lack of justice here.

what he says, and what he does, are two different things.
