Hi,

I believe that I had a surgery on my legs that was not necessary. Now my legs hurt much worse than before, are numb all over, and hurt severely.

How can I go about initiating a malpractice lawsuit? I think I only needed orthopedics before not surgery but the doctor didn't perform enough diagnosis work.

Step 1: Find a lawyer who specializes in medical malpractice. Your state bar has a lawyer referral service. Use it.

Step 2: Contact that lawyer for an initial consultation, usually free.

Step 3: Listen.

Step 4: Act on the information you learned during the consultation.

There is no other successful way to initiate a medical malpractice lawsuit.

First step is to get with a lawyer and be sure that you have a case, check out http://chicagomalpracticeattorney.net a lot of free information help you get an idea of what is going on, http://dallasmalpracticelawyer.net is also a great resource. It seems the biggest issue is to be able to prove damages and fault and it seems that you are covered when it comes to damages.
Wish you the best, Good Luck!

First complain to the board of medical doctors about that specific doctor. It is not anonymous though. They will investigate. THEN if they find you are correct get a lawyer and take that doctor to court and you can use the Board of medicine's findings as EVIDENCE for your case. If the board says the doctor did nothing wrong dont bother sueing cause you wont win
