What was the reason given as to why they wouldn't refill the meds?

My dad has the same heart condition (he's at 20%). Why did he refuse to refill them? I would call a local Malpractice Lawyer and ask them what they think. For the most part you can call and ask them without being charged. If ever your mom doesn't have her heart medication give her a 350mg of Aspirin, this will thin her blood and its just as good as Plavix's (which is $ 300-400 without insurance or if your in a gap) I work with the hospice and Dr. Wolfe informs patients know who can't afford medications and even those who can that Plavix is a joke and it's just as good a Adult aspirin.
Good luck! I hope your mom is doing okay now...
