I understand that mistakes happen whether through carelessness or incompetence. But, please, how can a cop "mistakenly" kick someone in the groin. That's police brutality, period!

Heard this on the way home from work yesterday. I am sure the payout will be big.

Mistakes happen.

I would estimate about $ 5 million.

I'd have to say only 1 million and 500 thousand.

Well, aside from being kicked in the groin. I think a million dollar settlement would be fair ( in the extreme).

I don't think they are entitled to millions- but something would be nice.

One can not make a camprable guess without all the facts being taken into consideration, such as a doctors report for instance. That kick may have done permanent damage, in which case he would be entitled to a lot more.

So, your question only has to do with money? What about other remedies such as disciplinary action, remedial training, apologies, and so on. But of course, this is the good ole USA where all we think about is money; sue......sue......sue. So okay, the police made a mistake, and there should be appropriate sanctions imposed. But you only mention money!!! Your question is very poor, and should have been rephrased.

What do you think? Answer below!
