actually admitted he committed malpractice. My testimony was excluded for some reason. Can anyone tell me why?

most likely because you are not licensed by the state in your profession. You would have more credibility if you had a license issues by your state, such a a nurse, a physical therapist or pharmacist.

Maybe they didn't need your testimony since the physician admitted guilt.

Perhaps because the physician admitted to malpractice, your testimony was not need, as the case was open & shut.
