An obvious solution to the problem is capping the jury awards on negligence and personal injury lawsuits by tort reform.

Medical providers pass on a huge expense to the consumer for malpractice insurance and run many needless medical procedures all because of greedy and unethical trial lawyers, who prey on the medical community.

Michael Moore did a biased documentary on health care costs but instead of targeting the true villians- trial lawyers, he simply carried the socialist flag and attacked corporations (the mortal enemy of socialists).

Did you know the USA is the only large country in the world that does not apply the English rule of law, where the losing party pays the winning party. Only in America, someone can file a frivolous law suit, hiring a trial lawyer on contingency (the parasite takes 30% - 40%) causing the defendant to spend unlimited funds to defend themself & if the palintiff loses, he doesn't reimburse the defendant for the costs they incurred. Huh?

An obvious solution would involve abndoning this notion of insurance. It's vegas odds, with legislative rules protecting their "winnings."

Malpractice insurance is the problem (last I checked we do have a legal system, so why pay to NOT use it????).

A hollywood producer did a biased documentary...did you just fall off the boat or what??

You can petition the opposition to pay your attorneys fees in cases of friviolous lawsuits.

Oh and the parasite also takes the risk of 0% if they lose....

"English rule of law..." who do you think won the revolution?

Health care costs are high not only for lawsuits and the costs involved with them, it is also because of the neew technology and research into various diseases is expensive. hospitals get new equipment and have to pay for new software updates for their computer systems and equipment. I do think there need to be some limits on lawsuit claims, but really how much can you give compensation to someone that has lost a limb or or life due to doctor's or nurse mistake? You have to figure the costs of the precedure that the Pt and insurance if any would have to pay, the loss of wages that person has lost which could be a very high amount because they can no longer work. Should we really say you can't recover those losses, and sorry that amputated the wrong extremity or took out the wrong organ...

Dems are committed to handicap a capitalist society by attaching and supporting any disease, restriction and obstacle to make our capitalist economy perform worse.

Why?

So they can tell us why capitalism does not work & make a case to convert us to socialism. They do it incrementally, not a revolution.

Trial lawyers are out of control and profit through exploiting tragedy and exploiting poor people. Democrats receive a pay-off in contributions from trial lawyers in exchange for legislating to let them file frivous law suits without compensating the defendant for their injury and costs to defend themselves from the frivolous law suit.

Irony- dems scream about health care but support the trial lawyers who play a significant role increasing the costs- malpractice insurance, needless medical tests and procedures & creating a litigous business world. So, the solution libs are selling is socialized health care, which is the reason they contribute and support driving up health care costs.

What do you think? Answer below!
