nobody's bothering to mention what a miserable failure medical care is overall.
Any plan involving only medicine and surgery, and not including things like chiropractic, massage, pilates and acupuncture - truly is a death panel!
Can anybody see the irony besides me?
It is HIGHLY debatable whether more people are "saved" by prescription drugs each year, than are killed by drug interactions, misprescribed meds, and just plain drugs not working as advertised.
That's per C. Koop - former Surgeon General!!!
Any "Health"-care bill MUST include preventative and alternative healthcare to be effective - your thoughts?
Plus, IT'S CHEAP!!! The most bang for your buck of anybody!
Mr Danger - the abusive practices of the AMA and hospitals don't somehow make better Doctors - they make dangerous Doctors.
It's been well proven fatigue plays a large role in medical mistakes.
And I exam and make my own diagnoses thank you very much. And I look a bit further than telling everybody they have "arthritis" or "overuse."

Right...and 95% of all statistics are made up on the spot.

Doctors and surgeons and pharmacists are people. People make mistakes. That's just how it is. You just have to hope you get one of the more careful ones :/

And yes, I do agree that it should involve preventative care, but I'm not so sure about alternative.

So let me get this straight, you say if you are not being provided with free massages, then you have been sentenced to death? Your argument makes absolutely no sense.

I agree with you, but that can change with a culture change in our society. People need to educate themselves more, advocate for themselves more. They also need to stop looking for pills to solve all their problems.

Additionally, there needs to be a change in the culture of medicine to hide the mistakes that are made, because that can lead to additional complications. Doctors and nurses are human beings. We make mistakes. We hope like hell that the mistakes we make don't hurt anyone, but unfortunately, sometimes they do.

It's a difficult position to be in, but it is not something that can be easily fixed.

medical care in the US isn't a 'failure' - its the best in the world

Socialism is the failure. Are you a socialist? Hmm, yea I think so. Loser!

U R an Idiot...and that fact needs no statistical backing

Ho yes an American health care is on par with Cuba I mean the U N said so it must be true
Ho yes a country that has a toilet paper shortage A country that flew in doctors and equipment from Spain,to care for the old fart as they want to save the really good doctors for the people
Do you really expect any one to believe a word of your post?
If a anti American liberal told me the sun was coming up to morrow I would buy a flashlight

When Hillary Clinton tried to force her Health care reform through, she strong armed the Hospitals to cut cost. What happened was it increased the number of Nosocomial deaths. (Deaths caused by Hospitals). The problem is that they ant the price to go down, but don't know how, so they order the hosptials to do it. Unfortunately, the hospital cut cost on waht they saw was convenient, and their fear prevented them from seeing why the extra employees there was hired in the first place. Obama is doing the same. he tells Medicare to cut cost, but never really went to details in how they would eliminate the waste. AS to how significant is Modern medicine. Diet plays a biggger role, than medicine.

Damn, I thought, you being a Liberal, was all for whatever kind of health care freebie you could get? Make up your mind!! Now you want to add more to the 1018 page bill!!

Now people can see Liberals just want more and more!

mr danger
Nonsense
The reason the fringe "medical " people that you're glorifying never kill people is because they don't work in an arena where that is even remotely possible
All glory >zero risk
Your so -called "Doctors of Chiropractic " never worked 100 hours a week at just over minimum wage for 5-6 years while holding people's lives in their gloved hands .
You're so called "Doctors of Chiropractic " never had to diagnose and solve a AAA after being awake for 23 hours straight .
You're wrong :
The best bang for the buck in medicine is a good surgical resident who makes about $ 11.00/ hr and works at a Level I Trauma Center
