For the most part they are pretty accurate.....House that show is way off most of the illness I have never come across or ever learned about and the treatments are all wacky. But like ER seems to be really accurate have not seen any mistakes but they acctually have real dr & nurses that advise them and teach them how to do the stuff so it is real and looks real.

There are mistakes in ER, The show "House" by far is the best when in comparison to actual medicine.
Some of the basic mistakes would be the IV solutions, the rate of infusion, by far what drive me nuts is the obvious. Things that are simple in the medical community often take the entire episode to diagnose.
So, sorry to dis agree with Nurse Jessie up there, however the tests and illness's displayed on "House" are top notch, and often my wife (another nurse) and I will guess the diagnostic tests and the final illness before the end of the show

In The Notebook, when James Garner is seeing his doctor, the x-ray is hanging backwards on the viewbox. When it is shown again, it has been turned around to be correct.

I love Grey's Anatomy, but they make mistakes all the time. They have done chest compressions in the wrong place, and obviously not applying pressure. They have also done defibrillation with the paddles in the wrong place. There are tons of mistakes, that's just what I've seen most often.

Oh dear....its a laughing matter,,,,X rays plates upside down, wearing the stethoscope with the olives pinting backwards, operating major surgey in patients that have not been intubated (put a tube in their pipeline), medical terms pronounced like russian, or the other way round, ....countless flaws, that I sometimes think they are intended to be comedies for those of us, that really leave the drama classification to enter into comedy......
An many others like in films, (not books tgogh), theater etc...

My ex is a nurse in an ER she told me that they make so manny mistakes is not even funny. And ER's are not as fast treating people as they seem to be, of course is a TV Show, I know.

yes, all the time, But you really need to have medical experience to catch all the mistakes, specially during surgery.
