How long do a person take to answer a complaint/lawsuit and turn it over to their insurance? A lawsuit for negligence(premise liability)?

One question would have been sufficient but again turn it over immediately you should not be handling it in any way, shape, form, or fashion by yourself.

Some people turn it over the same day. Some people wait until they get lawsuit papers before turning it over.

Which means, if someone doesn't file a suit, it never gets turned in.
