It will be a year in april for the malpractice and they added wrongful death to it in june. how long do these take based on your experiences? It's just very hard for the whole family. It seems to be keeping a really bad situation alive.

Many take two to three years to settle, maybe more.

In my jurisdiction, around 3-5 years. Cases with very clear liability can resolve sooner.
