I had a medical device implanted in CA a year ago by a doctor who did the procedure incorrectly. I ended up needing more surgery to correct the problem. The hospital says they are not responsible even though I signed a lengthy contract granting me patient rights that ensured I would receive professional care. Also, the doctor never spoke to me before or after the surgery. He just told the anesthesiologist to subdue me, did the procedure, and then left before I woke up. In addition to the unprofessional treatment I received, he was also rude and almost everyone who has worked with him notices his harmful arrogance and lack of concern for patients.
I need a great lawyer, not some hack straight out of the yellow pages. How can I find one and what is a reasonable amount of money to spend on this type of case? Bottom line: I wish to keep this doctor from hurting more people and to ensure he never screws up like this again.
Please, can someone tell me the steps I need to take to do this
