Doctors are people. They make mistakes like all people do. Unfortunately, laws are being set to protect these doctors when they make mistakes. They are not being reprimanded, and the public has no idea how many mistakes these professionals have made when they go to them for services, because the states are covering up for them. I have had to change doctors a lot, because of medical mistakes the physicians have made. (This includes pharmacies.) A pharmacy filled my daughter prescriptions wrong twice and I was told by the pharmacy board of the state that I switched the medicines and gave her double the strength of the medication. Just because the pharmacist has MD after his name, I was the liar and he was the saint. What do people do in situations like this? Let these professionals keep on making mistakes at our expense and say nothing? Why can't it be publicly known what mistakes doctors both physicians and pharmacists make, so that people can decide who to go to?

1- DO NOT go to the doctor & DO NOT take any medecene
2- CHANGE the law
3-CHANGE the polititions who will not change the law
4-TAKE A GUN and put it to every doctor and pharmesists head and pull the trigger.

"Just because the pharmacist has MD after his name"
pharmacists dont have MDs behind their names

anyway, the laws are set because people are sue happy and love to nail medical people for every little thing. its a tough job with a lot of gray areas and even very good doctors make mistakes. im sure you make mistakes at your job too, should there be a law that punishes you harshly everytime you try your best but do something wrong? im surprised nothing happened with your situation, usually if there is wrong doing they are in fact punished. there are report cards as well for doctors, i forget what they are called and where you can get them and it might vary state to state, try contacting your local state board if

they do need to be punished when they have a really big screw up- and they usually are by all the ambulance chasing lawyers you see on TV. the way you are talking about your situation it sounds like it was preventable, so sorry you had to go through that.

but put yourself in their shoes; you have to make hard decisions everyday that affect people's lives on a daily basis. you TRY YOUR BEST to help them, but you still make a wrong choice simply because it was a difficult call to make, you didnt do anything stupid. would you want something to protect you, or do you think you should be sued and drug in front of a medical board and be embarrassed and punished?

some laws are needed
