Hi there,
So i had all four wisdom teeth removed 3 days ago and 3 of the extraction sites were stitched up with dissolving stitches. I've been taking all my meds, doing gentle salt soaks and being careful around the gum line. Today however I was trying to easy solid food for the first time and after i noticed there was a hole/gap/tunnel on one side of my mouth where a back tooth was extracted (its not bleeding or painful there is just no flesh to cover the extraction hole).
Its it normal for this to happen? Are the stitches already dissolving? Will i get food lodged in there and get infected? I'm sort of worried because I feel stupid for not being more careful but if anyone understands what i mean any advice or help would be greatly appreciated.

A hole is normal it will close up over time. But to keep food from getting stuck in there you should fill a syringe with salt water and spray it in the holes after each meal.
