You must be tested by an independent physician and those records must then be submitted to the USAF.Also, check your DD214 and find the reenlistment code, you will need it to be a 1 or 3 whichever code states that you may be eligible to re-enter. I can't remember the code off the top of my head.

Asthma is not the only condition which can disqualify you. It also includes reactive airway disease, exercise-induced bronchospasms and asthmatic bronchitis. I assume you were discharged for a pre-existing asthmatic condition. If that was clinically confirmed by pulmonary function or other testing in connection with your medical evaluation board, I don't see where a mistake was made.

Did you have asthma or juvenile asthma, Were you prescribed medications,inhalers for the asthma?

You will probably need a Physical and a Breathing analzyer test from your personal physician.
and a clearance (waiver) to rejoin the military
