I sent him some Hospital Medical Records and an Autopsy Report. He told me it looked like a Suspicious Death, But he wanted another Attorney to look them over, He said He was baffled also. So they sent the Reports to a Medical Doctor for his Opinion. Does my Attorney think there was Malpractice or what? and if he Does why won't he tell me?

Hopefully, the records went to a pathologist. He won't tell you anything until he knows exactly what to say about the merits of the case.

I suggest you tell your lawyer that you don't pay those who baffle easily:)
Demand an opinion or the records back without paying him.

When an attorney is getting another attorney involved in your case can you say double billing at what $ 500.00 an hour. He should have told you he did not have enough expertise and referred you to one who did.

As a student of legal studies, I can give you this little bit of an answer. Your attorney has to be absolutely positive about the findings on the autopsy report. He can't just tell you there might be something amiss, he has to be sure beyond any doubt that a pathologist has said there is something amiss. After he feels there is a possible case, then he will talk to you and ask you if you want to proceed with a lawsuit. Most attorneys don't want to get anyone's hopes up, that would be unethical.
