Theorhetically, can you? I'm not going to. I don't even know any physician's assistants.

Also, can you sue a nurse?

You can only sue the attending physician or the hospital, or the doctor's group.

A nurse and a PA only follow instructions . They never make their own calls. That's the doctor's job.

You can sue anyone for anything. Whether or not it will hold water in court or if you can find an attorney willing to help your case is a whole other matter.

Yes, and Yes
Even when you are going to school to be one of these, and you do rotations in the hospital and such, you have to carry some kind of malpractice insurance.

You can,but it costs loads of money. To illustrate:
1-Lawyers fees
2-Money lost for not going to work
3-Years of litigation.
4-Money to hire a new Lawyer(You still have to pay the old one)
Hope this helps.

My mom's a nurse and she carries malpractice coverage for this reason. To the person who said they only follow orders-they are the ones giving the drugs and monitering care, so it isn't an out.
