On April 6, Rep. Sue Myrick questioned a panel of experts during a Health Subcommittee hearing regarding the cost burden of our nation's medical liability system. In response, physician witnesses confirmed for Rep. Myrick that enacting federal medical liability reform would yield significant savings. Questioned by Rep. Myrick during the hearing were Dr. Lisa Hollier from the American College of Obstetrics and Gynecology, and Dr. Troy Tippetts, former president of the American Association of Neurological Surgeons.
