For the second time in as many days, a plaintiff in a medical-malpractice case has won a large jury award at the Erie County Courthouse. A jury on Thursday returned a $ 1.8 million verdict in favor of the estate of a Sheffield woman who died of lung cancer at age 66 in April 2005.
