How do you file a complaint on a doctor that seems to have gotten his license out of a cereal box. I live in georgia and my doctor gave me a medication for the second time that I am highly allergic to. (Noted in my medical file which he evidently didn't read) And now his smart ass nurse is telling me I have to schedule another COSTLY visit in order to get another prescription. Even though i's in my file that I am allergic to this medication.
Oh and the nurse also stated "He's not going to remember you anyway so you need to come in". I have been a patient here for almost a year but "He's not going to remember me". This is insane!!
Lyric, thanks for your smart ass useless advice, now go back to class before your teacher catches you skipping.

When he gave you the prescription, why didn't you say "Hey, I'm allergic to this!" just wondering.

Unless he has his own practice, he probably has a boss at the clinic. File a complaint with them, and also the state's medical board. Document everything. And if you need to go in for another appointment to get the right medicine, I would refuse to pay for the visit. It's his fault you need to go back in, so let him eat the cost.
