Go on line to the court house and put a case search in for her name

And if it don't come up then as far as the law knows she never had a case against her
.
That is one screw up in favor of your wife

Why push it if they don't have any records of it

Was the case settled? If there was a court trial then there will certainly be records. You may not have a case number, but you can look it up by her name at the court where the case was tried. How did she run with the money? Are you divorcing her? Did you have a joint account?
