Mom died Thursday morning.
We have medical records and tests going back 3 years indicating strong medical negligence.
We're trying to contact medical malpractice attornies. We believe we have a strong case.
In the meantime, should we go ahead and cremate the body, or wait and get an autopsy?

Without an autopsy, there is no "official" proof.

Hurry up though, with all do respect, your mother's body could "deteriorate" and the problems might not be noticeable.

Sorry for your loss.

Hey there,

Please get an autopsy. My mom died from an allergic reaction to a medication. When she died, we were really not in the right frame of mind and just wanted her to have peace.

We did not get an autopsy. I will spare you the details but she had gone to her Dr. with a rash over 80 percent of her body and had stopped taking this new med on her own. Her Dr. called her foolish and told her that she needed to listen to him.

Anyways, you need to follow thru if you are even planning to pursue a lawsuit. They will tell you that you did not get a autopsy because you were trying to cover up that she had a differnt kind of illness.

Good luck..

Sorry about your loss
