The company I work for states if I losse work over an work related injury it is counted against my FMLA
Actions have consequences
It is NOT counted against your FMLA, that is an illegal act.
The FMLA entitles you to up to 6 months unpaid leave to deal with a family medical issues, including your own or your immediate family.
If you are injured at work, you are covered by Worker's Compensation rules, which allow you unlimited PAID leave (as confirmed by a doctor) as long as you are unable to to work.
HAGAR!!!
They can't do that. FMLA is for family emergencies and you do not get paid for it. FLA does NOT cover work related injuries, that is what worker compenssation insurance is supposed to do. If they try to do demand this from you and you hurt yourself, signn nothing and contact a lawyer. What they are trying to is absolve any injuries from the company.
Let me steer you
FMLA is unpaid leave. The only thing it does is protect you from losing your job if you need to be out of work due to a family issue.
Workers Compensation pays your expenses and possibly some lost wages when you are injured on the job and have to miss work. It has nothing to do with FMLA.
Either you or the company you work for is confused.

The family Medical Leave Act is unconstitutional (prove me wrong with the section of the Constitution that allows it). A work related injury is covered by state laws.
