I'm working on a book right now and playing around with some ideas, I have most of it how I want it to be, so far, but part of it is this girl and guy are in love, and she has to go to the hospital and won't be back for a while because it's faaaaaaaaar away (working out the details), anyway, they think there's something wrong with her, (anything, preferably a psychological problem?) And she has to get some tests, they come back false and she's home a few days later, I need some ideas for her medical problem and what they mistook it as. Please, something REALLY practical, that actually happens.

she could be psychopathic and the doctors mis-diagnose her as being a genius... i'm pretty sure there's only a fine line between being insane or a genius, i could be wrong but you never know... hope that helped :)

She believes she can predict the future because she happened to predict some events right in the past. They test her, and it turns out she does not have that ability.

You could do Cerebrovascular disease, which is associated with the brain. :)

A misdiagnosis isn't necessarily a medical mistake unless preventive measures were taken that caused more damage than the patient initially had. Most medical mistakes are misdiagnosis of medication or surgical.
You would probably have better luck if you asked this question in the Health section.
