The minor's parents are consenting to the procedure, they just need help with it and I'm helping financially.

It might depend on the procedure. Is it a necessary medical procedure? If so, then probably not. If it's not necessary or elective then there is a remote possibility. That increases if the child is older and objecting. I have to wonder what emotional or physical injury could occur? If you are talking about malpractice, then no, paying for the bills won't matter. Just think if that were the case then the insurance company could be sued.
So, generally the answer is no. But if it's a procedure that isn't necessary and you know the child objects, then it is possible.
