There is a serious error in the US Health care system: no insurance documentation has the photographic picture of the insured on it.
Once you have lost or have stolen by someone your insurance card, you cant be certain about who used it and what went on your medical record.
this error is the hotbed of medical malpractice, medical fraud .
Only this error has to be corrected to get the insurances low, not
Executive branch of the Government enforcement is asked.
How a muslim, as Obama want to get that error corrected, the muslim's religion forbids photographic pictures.
It is a question, not I have any interest against not of any religion .
I have an old insurance cards with my picture. Please no political idiots response.

I have a great idea. Be responsible and don't lose your insurance card. I am no Democrat by any measure, but even bringing Obama into this conversation shows your ignorance. Health insurance has been around LONG before Obama, and there are NEVER been pictures on health insurance cards.

Credit cards, atm cards also don't have pictures on them. They get lost or stolen, you simply report them missing & they are then null & void. The same would also be true of insurance cards. I tried using an old insurance card one time at my doctor's office. They let me know pdq, that my card was no longer valid.
While we do have problems in our healthcare industry, I don't think picture id's will solve them.

Nobody can use your health insurance without your knowledge. You would receive an explanation of benefits and would hopefully have the sense to call the insurance company to let them know it wasn't you.

The fraud generally exists when YOU let someone use your insurance. It is my understanding that this is more prevalent among illegal immigrants.

I think you're exaggerating. Every doctor's office I've ever been to requests to see your driver's license or other picture ID as verification of identity.

If the doctors office does not see your photo id and accepts just the insurance card, the liability is on them.
