is this considered medical malpractice?

I gave birth to my daughter 8 months ago. I was just having a slight elevation of blood pressure, nothing more. Once I delivered the baby I started to have extreme fevers, chills, fluid on my lungs, body pains, stomach pains. Burning when urinating. I had numerous x rays and ct scans along with ultrasounds done to find that there was 2 pieces of gauzes left inside my vagina. Once they were passed my symptoms were subsided and I got better. I was in the hospital for 2 weeks and was not able to be with my new born daughter. I had pylenophritis, urinary tract infection, bladder infection, uterus infections, fluid around my heart and lungs. I still have ovarian pain till this day. I still have the gauze and all the labs stating what happened. What do I do?

sounds like you got a case, back up the Brinks truck.

get a lawyer. You definitely have a case. When any medical equipment is left in by a doctor it is malpractice.

I think you will have to prove, that the gauze caused all your other problems. That may not be easy to do.

Sounds like a case to me. Get a GOOD attorney. One who is not afraid to take on the Doctors at the hospital.
