Should i sue? medical malpractice?

ok, Saturday night (one week ago) my tummy started hurting, not severely, just kind of a stabbing pain, so i put my hand on my belly and felt a lump. just above my belly button, needless to say, i was frightened. i tried to lie down and go to bed, but the pain just kept getting worse and worse, so at about 3 a.m. i decided to go into the ER. i went, and felt like i was taken very good care of, the doctor did blood work and a CAT scan, he wrote me a prescription for a pain killer and an antibiotic and wrote undetermined on my paper, saying specifically that i did not have a hernia and it was most likely an infection from my belly button ring, even though i haven't actually worn one in a long time, and have had the piercing for 10 years. i was sent home with instructions to take it easy. the next morning i woke up balling my eyes out i was in so much pain, there was no position i could get into that would make it any less painful, i called my sister and had her come to help me with my two children. so tuesday, when the pain was no better, i returned to the ER, the same doctor was there and this time he was not so friendly, he yelled and told me that there was nothing wrong with me and that this was just fat in my stomach (i'm 5'5" and 124 lbs) and that i didn't need to be in his ER. he told me they would repeat the same tests they had done saturday and he would write me another prescription. i told him where to put his prescription and went home with the number to a surgeon, who said they could not get me in for another 3 weeks. so on wednesday i went to a different hospital, THEY did an x-ray and about 1 hour later to my surprise, i was being rushed into an emergency surgery for an incarcerated umbilical hernia (where a piece of my bowel was being choked off through a hole in my abdominal wall) the bowel was already dead, and starting to get infected (gangrene) which would not have happened if the problem had been taken care of sunday. so i don't know what i should do, should i sue the other hospital? or just make a complaint? the doctor was very mean to me, the other hospital said that because i was young i was being treated like i was doctor shopping. i have NEVER been to the other hospital before, no hospitals period in this area as a matter of fact. i hate to go to the doctors, so it's not like i'm one of those people that go every week. so, what do you guys think?
i have health insurance jack ass, good health insurance. don't know where i may have implied that i didn't. and the ER is not "free" either. what ER's have you been visiting? it was an emergency, hence, the EMERGENCY ROOM.

Doctor shopping? When it turned out you had a legitimate problem? What a load of BS. They are trying to cover their own butts.
I would contact a medical malpractice attorney. I personally would not let them get away with this. You could have died!!!
