MY MOTHER WAS PRESCRIBED THE DRUG "DIGITEK" AND HAD BEEN TAKING IT FOR A WHILE WHEN ALL OF THE SUDDEN IT WAS RECALLED BECAUSE THE PHARMACEUTICAL COMPANY WAS ADVISED BY THE FDA TWO YEARS AGO TO STOP DISTRIBUTING THE DRUG BECAUSE THE COMPANY FAILED TO ADHERE TO THE PROPER SAFETY GUIDELINES WHILE MAKING THE DRUG. SOME OF THE PILLS WERE ACCIDENTLY SMASHED TOGETHER, THUS MAKING ALOT OF THE PILLS THICKER AND MORE POTENT THAN INTENDED...THEY WERE ADULTERATED!! ALOT OF PATIENTS DIDNT KNOW THE PILLS WERE ACTUALLY DOULBLED IN STRENGTH OR SIZE. THEY THOUGHT THEY WERE NORMAL SO THEY CONTINUED TO TAKE THE PILLS. THE THING IS THAT IT WAS A THIN LINE BETWEEN THE PILLS EFFECTIVENESS AND DRUG OVERDOSE DUE TO TOXICITY. AT THE NORMAL DOSAGE, THE PILL WAS HIGHLY EFFECTIVE ALREADY BUT WHEN PILLS GOT MASHED TOGETHER, THE POTENCY OF THE PILL BECAME INCREDIBLY AND FATALLY(IN SOME CASES) DANGEROUS. BEFORE MY MOTHER COULD EVEN STOP TAKING THE MEDICATION, THE DRUG HAD ALREADY POISONED HER BLOOD STREAM AND ON HER CORONERS REPORT, IT SAID THAT SHE DIED FROM AN OVERDOSE FROM THE DRUG DIGITEK DUE TO HIGH LEVELS OF TOXICITY IN HER BLODSTREAM. OUR FAMILY WANTS TO KNOW THAT IF WE WIN THIS CASE AND DECIDE TO SETTLE, ABOUT HOW MUCH WE CAN EXPECT TO RECOVER FOR OUR LOSS. AND HOW LONG SHOULD A CASE LIKE THIS EXPECT TO TAKE?

A death from something like this always wins you can't put a price on a life you can get an outrageous amount of money plus pain and suffering wich also awards an extensive amount of money. the pharmaceutical company will probably wan't to settle with you as soon as possible because they know they are going to lose. in this case they will try to trick you out of your money. i would suggest getting a lawyer and sueing for all the money you possibly can. It is garanteed as long as your mother was not abusing any other substance and taking ONLY the directed amount of the medicine you will get all or at least 95% of what you are sueing for.

Do you have proof she was taking the correct amount.
It won't matter that you know some of the pills were two pills in one, you will have to prove that.
But yeah other than that it sounds like you have a good chance.
