My husband was hurt pretty badly at work about 2 and a half years ago.He was doing his job that was expected of him. Well he had to climb on top of a flat bed tractor trailer to match numbers off a Generator before it could be shipped.Well to make a long story short one of his feet slipped and he lost balance and fell he broke both bones in his left leg just above the ankle and then he came straight down missing the trailer and with his right leg all his weight came down driving the bone in his right straight up crushing his knee,it was rebuilt using cadaver bone metal plates and screws and pins.anyway He had to hire a lawyer to get ESIS the workers comp people for the company he works at to start his payments.He laid in a hospital bed unable to do for himself for almost 3 months while i took care of him .
Well someone suggest a lawyer for him to call and he did well needless to say I believe that this lawyer and the company lawyer are literally having tea everyday! My husbands life is forever changed due to his knee injury he will never be able to play ball ,teach our kids to ride a two wheeler hang if something were coming right at him he couldn't run to get away from it .The stupid lawyer told my Husband that his injuries were worth 180 thousand well now the man is telling my husband that he will be lucky to get 60 thou.That won't even cover the knee replacement surgery he needs b/c of the arthritis he has in his knee .I really think the lawyer for the company and My husbands lawyer are both out to screw my husband .His doctor has put him at doing a desk job only for the rest of his life no walking except for leaving and going in to work .Now please tell when in God's land will he find another job after this case is settled that will let him just sit for 8 hours a day in front of a computer?even secretaries have to do some walking !

Get a different lawyer. It seems like the Workman's Comp insurer should have already covered the cost of the surgery.

I personally have a very low opinion of Lawyers, but there are several competent Workers Comp Law Firms out there. Like everyone else has said, fire the dirt bag you have a get one who will work for you.
