The reportsays in 2010, the CCP extended its control on media to journalists' personal lives. This year, CCP's Central Propaganda Department carries out a censorship movement against "false news," in hope of turning reporters themselves into censorship tools. The IFJ report includes cases of CCP's interference with the media over issues from natural disasters to medical malpractice. Reporters who cross the line are often dismissed from positions or imprisoned. Serenade Woo, the federation's representative for Hong Kong and China says, the report only shows the tip of the iceberg. "There are over 300 CCP bans that we are aware of. We are only able to obtain 88 of them this time, which is only the tip of the iceberg," Woo said. "We believe the number of such bans will only increase in the future." CCP's Central Propaganda Department not only interfere with journalists' work and personal lives, it also tries to turn journalists into censorship tools. The department's current movement against "false news" will last 6 months. The purpose is to teach journalists how to eradicate the so called "false news" in order to keep their jobs. In an interview with CNNs Wolf Blitzer, House Republican Leader John Boehner pointed out that the Democrats 1018 page government takeover of health care creates 53 new boards, agencies, commissions and agencies all of which will drive up costs and includes employer mandates that will kill jobs. Boehner explained that there are better solutions that will actually reduce health care costs: "What I'm for are things that are going to reduce the cost of health care in America. There is no medical malpractice reform here, there is nothing here that protects doctors so they are going to continue to practice defensive medicine so they're not being sued. There is nothing in here that will streamline the paperwork we have in our health care system today. Those two things alone will save 0-0 billion a year in our current system. That money can be used to increase access for those that have pre-existing conditions or those that may be switching jobs or the working poor who don't qualify for federal programs who need help getting insurance."
