I received monthly Workman's comp payments for a while now I am not getting them. I have a lawyer but we have not settled as yet cause I am still under Doctors care. WC still pays for the Dr and my pills but are refusing to pay for new MRI's and possible second surgery. I am wondering if there is a time limit to settle this case we are at about 2 and 1/2 years?

Reasonable time lines and content of evaluations and treatment, and rules regarding settlement vary from State to State. Whether your case is 2.5 weeks or 2.5 years old, the issue is whether or not you have been adequately assessed and treated and whether your case has essentially stabilized (reached a point of relative Maximum Medical Improvement) even if not resolved.
