My grandpa fell down from stair ( from 1st floor to basement) on saturday and immediately sent to emergency room on 5 pm. he was in there for 4 hrs and finally the doctors (I dont think they are) there was an infection in his gall bladder and he could not urine due to the kidney problem. After that, I saw a real doctor came and did a small operation on my granda, ( i saw he put something inside my grandpa's xxxx ) He told me that was for my grandpa urine. About 12am, they sent my grandpa to ICU , and my grandpa was in poor situation, I saw many medical facilities around him inserting medicine and stablzing blood pressure. However, I still remember the doctor in emergency room told me that he was stable...On 4am, I left the hospital wonder that he is ok. On 8:30 am, I received a call from there and told me that they were going to do the surgery that removing the gall bladder from him, but on 10:00am, they told me that my grandpa was very very sick and could not afford the surgery due to low heart beat and he could not stop bleeding.. In the next 14 hrs, my grandpa went weaker and weaker and only support by those medical facilies....On monday 1:00 am, there were 2 doctors discussing with me and suggesting remove all the facilites and let my grandpa pass away naturally, I rejected that and they told me they would apply electrical impulse if my granding stop heart beating., on 1:45am, they applied once, and it worked, After that, I know the situation got worse..and then finally on 6:00am, they applied that again.....but it didnt work and my grandpa past away.
I am so confusing that why the doctors in emergency room spent almost 4 hrs to figure out wat happen, why they didnt do the surgery for my grandpa after transfering him to ICU...the period in ICU (sunday 12am to 8 am) long enough to make my granda get weaker and the infection get worse. Why they hadnt do the surgery for him?? but wait until 8:30am.....????
Also, in ICU, I only saw a nurse took care of him, rather than the doctor did....
In my view, the doctors didnt try their best to save my grandpa......
I believe my grandpa wont die if they do the surgery earlier....
Please advise.

Okay, you're right. He was catheterized, and that might have been too late, but not deadly, unless his bladder ruptured. The cause of death was sepsis. Somebody allowed blood poisoning. A transfusion would have helped.

Don't blame the doctors, they obviously know what they're doing and wouldn't let a thing like that happen. Tell me, do you know what it takes to apply for a doctorates?Or even an internship? It takes about eight combined years of microbiology, biology, organic chemistry, physiology, and an intense study of the human anatomy. I doubt there is any malpractice, and if there was, you or your lawyer probably wouldn't know enough about overall health to sue the hospital. I'm sorry for your loss.

Perhaps you should consult a lawyer and try to get as much info as possible. Names, time, interventions, etc. Good luck!

My impression (right or wrong) is that your grandpa would have died on the operating table as the doctors believed that he was not well enough or strong enough to survive any surgery so they decided that surgery was too dangerous.
It looks like your grandpa was doomed to die with or without surgery so the doctors decided that surgery was pointless.
