Q&A: Do Psychologists go to medical school?

I am in high school and considering becoming a Psychologist after I read that family doctors make like 600 mistakes a day.

If I do NOT go to medical school...and become a psychologist...how much would we be talking that I make and would I be able to be hired?

If I do go to med school...how much on average in the zipcode 16066, Cranberry TWP, PA?

Thanks you ever so much!
I meant do Psychologists need the extra education?

eri
No, psychologists have a PhD or PsyD. Psychiatrists go to med school. And I think you're overestimating doctor errors a bit; not sure where you got that from. A PhD or PsyD is 8-12 years of college - grad school doesn't have a set timeline like med school does (8 years total for undergrad + med school).

http://www.salary.com can tell you how much you would make anywhere.
