A medical mistake stunted my bone growth when I was an adolescent, dropping my height percentile by 25 percent. As a result, I'm a little insecure about my height, causing me to wear lifts. I'm just wondering if there are any physical drawbacks to wearing shoe lifts such as back problems or risk of tendon-tearing in my legs. I imagine the risks wouldn't be as bad as women who wear heels, but I dunno.

all depends on the height of the lifts;; if your lifts are so high that they do not bend,, yeah, you'll be in trouble later in life;; best bet is to get some info & assessment through a PT, the 'gait specialists'...good luck!!

No, there are no bad side affects to wearing lifts or heels. The worst that happens is that your leg might ache, but nothing serious.
