Is the bar liable to injuries/medical bills of a bouncer who is injured breaking up a fight between patrons?

In the u.s, if an employee is injured on the job, his sole remedy against the employer is via workers compensation. For that remedy, no fault or blame is assigned, but in exchange he gets a limited remedy.

If the bouncer is working at the bar as an employee, either of the bar or of a private security company, and is injured doing his are her job, then the injuries, including medical bills, are covered by the employer's employer's workmen's/worker's compensation insurance and the bouncer is entitled to collect the appropriate amount of money by filing for workers'/workmen's comp.
