Just found out my grandma (75+yrs) has gangrene on her legs (one leg had worms). It was a result of negligence from her professional provider. Doctor says its been untreated for more than 6months.She also has a failed kidney and has been given morhpine since shes been at the hospital (4days) and hasnt eaten since she says she feels like she has acidrefelx. My friend (studing to be a nurse)says that the gangrene is already contaminated her blood stream and thats why they havent scheduled an amputation. She says that they are only giving her morphine so she wont be suffering from the pain. Yesterday my mom says she is no longer responsive and they did an MRI/ CATSCAN to check if she had had a stroke but it came back negative. I just want to know so I can be prepared. What do you think are the chances? Please be honest

Very slim and I'm sorry to hear that. They cant due surgery due to the fact she wouldnt survive it. The morphine is for comfort measures but no she will not survive
