I commited fraud (felony), will an attorney/lawyer be able to reduce my sentence?

I wished they would make it just doing community service
and be on probation for 10 years.

will a lawyer be able to reduce my sentence for commiting $ 2500 credit card fraud?
i think since i cant afford a lawyer i will need a free one
