Talk to your employer and have them correct it.

You owe the money. They can sue you for it, and they'll win.

If you were provided the insurance and the agreement was that you had to pay a portion of it, then they are legally entitled to this money. They can sue you or forward this bill to collections which will ruin your credit. Even if you don't have money, they can obtain a judgment for the full amount, court costs and interest. Once they have the judgment they can garnish your wages at your new employment and seize any assets (like your bank account) until the amount is paid in full.

I suggest that you contact them and make payment arrangements. You might want to try being nice and letting them know that you are really strapped and make them an offer to pay $ 50 or $ 100 back per month. Bottom line even though you state that you didn't notice, I seriously doubt that you would not have noticed this -- most people notice when they take out a dime too much and only claim that they didn't notice when it is in their favor. Sorry but you got caught and the piper must be paid.

I am sorry to be harsh but hopefully you will be able to resolve this. Good Luck
