personal injury attorneys are all scumbags so it won't matter
nas88caror 300 09? way to go BK!
actually the more you pay for one the better you get get one that specializes in that sort of malpractice... depending where you live just look in the Yellow pages..stay away from the ones that advertise a lot of commercials on tv

Phone them all with a brief synopsis of your situation, and interview them till you get a feel for who you will get on with ...and who is a shark.
Do not let them talk you into going in to their offices..you are paying them they work for you..disregard all the ones that say I am too busy or you have to have to make an appointment..after a few calls you will get the hang of it write out your synopsis first.Good Luck

Pick 3 random names, call them, tell them you are looking for a malpractice attorney, but you want them to refer you to someone *else*. If two of them recommend the same people, go with that.
If malpractice attorneys refuse to give you a referral, try a different kind of attorney (say, divorce lawyers), who have no personal stake in it.

There's really no foolproof way to know. An experienced attorney may actually give your case less attention in favor of cases with larger likely recoveries than one who's more recently started in practice. Word of mouth is a usual way--friends or acquaintances who have used attorneys. If you know court personnel, they may be familiar with local PI attorneys from having observed them. Your local Bar Association attorney referral service is probably better than the Yellow Pages.
