my son had a massive brain tumor that was not being treated properly by the military docs. this tumer caused serious personality changes in my son. they de ranked him. now even after a major brain surgery to remove what they could of the tumor they refuse to return his rank to him and they are seriously procrastinating medboarding him out. if they had treated the tumor sooner they would have been able to remove the entire thing and so now he still has some perminent personality disorders. and he will be disabled for the rest of his life. they have even said that they feel that his rank was unjustified and that they made serious mistakes in his medical care.
It grew from the time they found it until the time the military decided to take it serously and treat it slappy. And when I say that it would have been different if they had treated it sooner, that is what the neurosurgeon said.

You cant sue the military, but the person who deranked him, possibly. Call an attorney or consult with a JAG attorney (its usually free or low cost) to investigate.

And yes, as long as you have power of attorney, you can absolutely sue and handle all of his business on his behalf!!

Doesn't matter. An enlistee or military member cannot sue the military for medical malpractice. And no one else can sue on his or her behalf.

Y didnt you treat the tumor? You are clearly a brain surgeon if you can offer the opinion that he would be fine if they had removed it sooner...

You cannot sue the military. Just be glad your son is eligible for VA medical care for the rest of his life.
