Why trust any numbers from the CBO?

I know they are non partisan, but their math is waaaaay off sometimes and normally on giant money bills. You need only go back to the 2003 medicare prescription drug bill.

then the CBO stated the costs would be $ 500 billion over a ten year period. After the bill was signed and in the same year the CBO came back with a revised cost of double, over A TRILLION DOLLARS*! nOw if you can find any numbers it's between $ 2 to $ 2.4 trillion. They sorta missed the ball n that one.

The health insurance company's lobbyists only had to donate $ 50 million* to our House and Senate members. they didn't donate to all, but most and the main ones that got the most "donated" to them were the chairman of the committee and the committee members, imagine that. Sorta like Sen. Baucus with about $ 6 million donated to him by the health care, drug and insurance folks, with a little thrown in by the financial people.

The CBO also stated it would mean big time saving for the elderly on drugs, but unfortunately their costs have skyrocketed up to 50% and on limited budgets. this increase is also with the great $ 4 3rd world country prescription everyone has been hawking.

In a Yahoo article n here yesterday the CBO stated that $ 41 billion could be saved by helping with the malpractice stuff, but using the numbers it is really only $ 4.1 billion if that as they used full bore charges of the medical places vs the actual paid by Medicare or the HMOs which is 80% or more less.

So I don't trust them, do you?

the figures are accurate as they can be, however the assumptions change . The drug bill estimates are totally different as they are based on two different set of data,
how ever what is known is that Australian's pay up to 75% less than americans for the same drugs, that has to be a rip off of the american people

BHO has severed horse heads put into their beds.

Also, how can the CBO score a bill that's not written, yet??? Clearly, BHO is busting CBO heads.

Leave it to our "servants in government" to cook the books.

This is Tyranny and when Captain Hale said, "Give me Liberty or give me death!" he wasn't exactly on moon rocks.

Excellent Q!
