I remember that happening to my husband before when he was off & I think she needs to talk to her pay roll dept. about it & tell them to take it out in smaller amounts. They did so she wouldn't get behind in what she pays for her health ins.

Please call an attorney. Something isn't right, unless the money is owed.

yes, if she fell behind on her portion of her health insurance that is her responsibility to pay for it. Ask the payroll dept to take it out in smaller increments might work, but they are under no obligation to finance your mothers back health insurance liabilities.

Why did work refuse her workman's comp.? If the employer pays a portion of insurance and she is responsible to pay certain portions, then yes.

WHO put her on leave when she hurt herself at work? And WHO refused her Workman's compensation? Only that Board can refuse her! Find out if the company has been paying into it, and I would definately ask the payroll dept to explain why they used ALL the paycheck for medical coverage!! And WHAT Insurance company did they give that money to? Tell her to get or go see an attorney! This thing sounds fishy to me!
