Contact your state dept of health and family services. They typically handle that end of things. They deal with the licensing and regulating of these places, and will be extremely interested in the allegations.

Go onto your dept of health and family services website for your state. You should find out exactly where to file a complaint, as well as who to contact. And they typically have a phone number listed so you can speak directly to someone.

Good luck!

The hospital should have a patient ombudsman you can talk to about your complaint. If they cannot rectify the situation then they must refer you to your state agency which handles hospital licensing and the like.

Call the hospital and ask for the ombudsman's office, they'll know what you're talking about immediately.

depending on the state you live in "state licensing" or ombudsman will get the fastest and most dilligent response. if those do not seem appropriate or are not available report it to the county sheriff immediately, any cause for concern in a skilled or long term care facility is paramount in the eyes of law enforcement.
