I had an accident 10 years ago which ruptured my L3 and L4 disk. Just recently, within the last 7 months or so, it started aggravating my sciatic nerve on the left side. I cant sit or stand for very long, I can't stay on my exercise regime and now it's starting to disrupt my sleep. I've asked my doctor for pain medication, cortisone and/or novacaine shots and I have even considered surgery, but he has refused every kind of treatment available to me and has not recommend any other solution. I see a chiropractor twice a week at $45 a pop (I make $159 a week). I'm getting ready to talk to a medical malpractice lawyer and was wondering if this is the right path to take.
