I recently just got out the military and I filed a claim for my sciatica but I think I can file another claim for hypertension (high blood pressure) because every physician that measured my blood pressure says that it is high. I looked back at my medical record and I looked at all my readings and most of the readings were over 140. 120 and below is normal. I was never told that I was in danger of hypertension which is why I was never treated for it. I thought I was normal.

Short answer is no.

However, if you still have your medical records, you should be able to get VA benefits to help offset any cost for your medical condition.

I'm rather surprised that you weren't informed about your blood pressure. We had people kicked out of deployment because they couldn't get their blood pressure down. The Army typically doesn't let stuff like that slide.

You should go to your nearest Va hospital. You have to register, take a physical, and get a rating. High blood pressure is treatable and they will treat it for you at no cost if it is service connected.
