A coworker recently had an operation to remove a bone spur on her toe. After the surgery, it was discovered that she had neuropathy. She is in constant pain now and is looking at having a spinal block done. The thing is, she did not have this neuropathy before the bone spur surgery. Plus, her physical therapist told her that her has actually gotten worse after the surgery. Is this a case that a malpractice lawyer would take? Or is this type of nerve damage just a risk of having surgery in the first place?

It's probably a risk of the surgery, or it could possibly be a temporary problem that will go away after a while. Sometimes nerves are still sensitive for years after surgery .
What has the surgeon said about the problem at her post surgery check up?
If the info isn't any of the above, then go see a personal injury lawyer and see what they say.

As much as I can't stand doctors, or anything of that nature, I would think it's just a risk of that type of surgery.
