From the supplier: Consumer advocate Ralph Nader has asked Pres Bill Clinton and President's Task Form on Health Care Reform Chmn Hillary Rodham Clinton to strengthen, rather than limit, medical malpractice regulations. In letters to the Clintons, Nader claimed that malpractice lawsuits account for only 0.6% of all medical costs and capping malpractice awards would encourage medical carelessness. Nader suggested that medical care costs could be cut through stronger enforcement of regulations to prevent illicit financial arrangements between medical facilities and providers.
